Larussa (Beatrice Cenci) is tops as a gorgeous, wealthy young heiress who is tricked by her lover (a really slimy no-good so and so) into having sex inside a seedy brothel. After she is caught in a police raid (as arranged by her lover for purposes of blackmail) she’s tossed into a mental institution by her family so that all concerned can be spared the “scandal.” However, when she finally gets out of the booby-hatch—look out! Acting like a crazy psycho, she seeks revenge against everyone from her worthless lover to her disloyal father. Stuck somewhere between being a psycho-horror film and a crime film, we give this thoroughly enjoyable Euro-giallo-chiller a very high recommendation. Great color, from a nice 16mm print. Adrienne La Russa is an American actress known for her role as Brooke Hamilton on Days of Our Lives, which she played from 1975 to 1977. Her film career included roles in The Black Sheep, Psychout for Murder, Beatrice Cenci, Keep It in the Family, The Man Who Fell to Earth and Uncle Joe Shannon
